As Sienna Miller continues filming her upcoming movie Hippie Hippie Shake, Milan Fashion Week has begun and it seems like the designers have been looking to Miller’s new movie as a source of inspiration. Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Roberto Cavalli were some of the few designers that sent 70’s inspired clothes down the runway. Flowery prints, flowy tops and dresses and brown accessories ruled the runways at Milan Fashion Week. Despite the fact that many big name designers sent down hippie inspired clothes down their runways some designers decided to go their own route. Moschino, which is always a favorite for the younger crowd of fashionistas, displayed a very sophisticated collection. The models at Moschino were dressed in everything from colorful print frocks with feathered skirts to a large gray shirt with a bow paired with a fuchsia skirt and heels. Sorry but I don't have much time so to be continued…

Snow white tents were pitched up in Manhattan’s Bryant Park to mark the beginning of the much anticipated New York Fashion Week. During fashion week fashion enthusiasts such as Vogue Editor Anna Wintour and her trusty companion Andre Leon Talley got a first look at designs from the fashions finest such as Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera and Ralph Lauren. The designers offered collections of vast diversity from gorgeous floor length gowns and classic black dresses from Oscar de la Renta to short feminine dresses and cute youthful blazers at the ever popular Proenza Schouler. The week ended with a bang with Marc Jacobs’s show which started two hours late but the shows still resumed but this time England’s finest reigned supreme at London Fashion Week. Despite being known as the lesser watched fashion week out of the four that make up the spring/summer 08 London Fashion Week has certainly set its mark. First came Gareth Pugh, who sent down models dressed in head to toe black Swarovski outfits, followed by Matthew Williamson’s show which started with an impromptu performance by Prince who was seated in the front row. But of course the spring/summer shows are far from over everyone is anticipating for the best shows from Prada, Balenciaga, Chanel, Lanvin, Lacroix, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Givenchy, Nina Ricci, Chloe and so many more from Milan and Paris Fashion Week. The highlights of the spring/summer 08 shows will definitely be Valentino’s final farewell from the catwalks of Paris, Oliver Theyskens’ (the designer who dressed Reese Witherspoon in the canary yellow dress for the Golden Globes and the floor length purple gown for the Oscars) first spring/summer fashion show with the legendary house of Nina Ricci, and the first Milan Fashion Week without the legendary Gianfranco Ferre who died of a brain hemorrhage in June. Summer/Spring 08 is sure to be a fashion season that will be unforgettable as we bid farewell to the legend of Valentino who is sure to treat us to a show stopping collection.

You like me you really like me...who can forget Sally Field's oscar speech but as to why i typed that because i was doing my daily blogs reads when i noticed that izzy has me under her blogs to watch list...i know that's not the oscars of fashion but that means a lot since i've just started blogging...now as flattered as i am on to the fashion...as all fashionistas know the fall fashion shows are upon us and i can't wait till the paris and milan shows...ny fashion week is over and my two absolute favorite collections from ny fashion week would go to (drum roll darlings)
Proenza Schouler...these boys are on fire there last two shows have been spot on..their F/W07 collection is what brought back all those gorgeous bandage Herve Leger dresses which by the way will be available on Net a porter in a few short months...i wish i could afford them....now where was i oh yes Schouler's neutral tones and short dresses were to die for and i loved the shoes
The fabulous Oscar de la Renta...he never ever gets it wrong and Spring 08 was no exception as expected his frocks were very chic and great for all those socialite events or for a very fashionable stroll in the park.

Now I don't think i do enough justice covering fashion week since i wasn't actually there but i will post my two favorite collections form each fashion week so watch out for my two favorites from london fashion week.....now on to something i usually don't talk about which is celebrity style i won't talk about celebrity style unless its the olsens or the celebrity was dressed spot on and the next picture i'm about to put gets five stars from me
Okay so i didn't get the most flattering picture but i couldn't find any others but this canary yellow DKNY floor length dress was spot on for the emmys...props to heidi klum for wearing that gorgeous galliano gown...now minnie driver isn't the typical beauty your used to seeing in hollywood but sunday night she was the belle of the ball(awards show) in this number i love this dress so much i'm trying to convince my mom to get it for the upcoming debutantes ball since last year she work a black and nude gown.

Unfortunately i've had very little time to blog in between tennis practices, getting all worried about college and the SAT's and trying to conquest the man i love heart and not to mention writing both the entertainment and fashion articles in the school newspaper i'm a busy girl. Nonetheless i bring you a post now even if you are the straightest girl in the world we all have girl crushes and my all time biggest girl crushes go to Mrs. Natalia Vodianova Portman and Ms. Natalie Portman.

First comes Natalia Vodianova who i believe happens to be the best russian model...there's so many of them but natalia truly outshines them all and she was the one who really brought the babydoll face trend back to the runway.
When I saw this Vogue I almost wanted to cry...well not really but still this is one of the smart things that Anna Wintour has done who can command the middle of a magazine cover full of beautiful outstanding models and outshine Gisele? Natalia of course! Not to mention she really is something to look up to she has a son and another one on the way and came straight from the poverty stricken streets of Moscow to rise up as one of the greatest models of all time

Along with being an exceptional model the girl also has great style this light pink confection looks wonderful with her skin tone and short bobbed brown hair.
Next comes the amazing Natalie Portman i absolutely love her she's such a great actress, a smart woman and stunning and she can look chic with huge headphones on her head. Her work in V for Vendetta and Closer was amazing and I can't wait to watch her three upcoming movies Goya's Ghosts, The Other Boleyn Girl, and Blueberry Nights
I loved how she looked on the cover of Elle a few years back it was amazing i fell in love with the cover. She looks amazing in this Versace confection! George Lucas was smart hiring Portman for the role of Padme since she makes all the futuristic outfits look chic
And finally Natalie in a beautiful black frock from Lanvin at if i'm not mistaken the oscars this year...she grew her hair back but even when she was bald she looked gorgeous..can you tell i have a huge girl crush on her
Well thats it for this post sorry if it was a bit short but i will be back and post the article i wrote in my newspaper for fashion! Auf Wierdehesen! Don't forget Project Runway comes back in november!
